Taking a moment to be grateful for 2019

It’s the festive lull between Christmas and New Year; where we don’t know what day it is, eat all of the leftovers, build all of the toys and some of us muster the energy for a winter walk to blow off the cobwebs, whereas the rest of us vegetate on the sofa with another box set. How ever you’re spending the seasonal limbo, it’s great to have some time to reflect on the year that’s been and take stock of those proud moments, difficult lessons and plain ordinary days with our family and friends, to help shape our outlook for the New Year ahead.

At Good Bubble we are so lucky to have had another corker and as we sit and take five (with our 62nd mince pie in hand) we thought it might be nice to share with you what we’re most of proud from the last 12 months…

New Baby Range

This May saw the launch of our most eco-friendly range to date, our Baby Range. After the success of our deliciously scented super-kind formulations, packaged in 50% recycled packaging in our core range, we got to work developing a range more specifically for younger babies. With the more subtle baby-like fragrances of cottonseed and aloe vera and cucumber and aloe vera, the range not only looks super stylish but is packaged in eco friendly sugar-cane packaging. A UK-first, this naturally derived packaging is 100% recyclable and even the easy to use pump can be recycled too. The best thing about these products is that at just £4 each we’re offering a greener option, that doesn’t cost the earth.

This leads us nicely into our next super-proud moment of this year. Whenever we have been nominated for any awards in the past, we always feel an enormous sense of pride. Hard work paying off and sometimes we’re even lucky enough to be invited to a glitzy awards ceremony to celebrate. So this year when our newest Hair and Body Wash with Cucumber and Aloe Vera from the new Baby range was nominated for a prestigious Mother and Baby Award we couldn’t have been happier. We didn’t win but were so proud to be up there with some amazing brands, and hey – there’s always next year!

Bringing more Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler magic to bath time

Our most recent product launch of this year has been on the back of the success of our collaboration with our favourite grizzly guy, the Gruffalo. Our sweet-smelling prickly pear range has proven super popular since its launch back in February 2018 and we were thrilled to be able to extend our collaborative range to include some more of our story time favourites. This November saw the introduction of four new bubble bath lines, all with super-kind formulations and four gorgeous new scents, celebrating the books from which they were inspired. These were; Room on the Broom ‘Pumpkin & Wild Lily’, Stick Man ‘Sweet Fig & Elder’, Zog ‘Dragon Fruit and Orange’ and ‘The Snail and The Whale Lotus Flower and Sea Minerals’. So far, our newest additions have been super well received and are now listed in lots of our lovely stockists.

Perhaps one of the pieces of brand work that we’re most proud of this year is one that celebrates our newest products and attempts to reflect the family values and kindness (from our formulations, to our packaging, to our work ethic) that we strive to communicate in all we do.

We proudly included our most diverse range of families yet in our latest photoshoot and are so happy with the way the beautiful images of these gorgeous little people turned out. We realise that in 2019 we shouldn’t have to be calling our diversity as something we are ‘proud of’ but in our Instagram-perfect pressured lives, we want to make sure that we remain accessible to all families. Creating super-kind products at accessible prices is what we’re all about and ensuring that our messaging reflects this too is something we’re keen to keep working to develop.

We are so grateful for all of the good stuff that 2019 has brought us and are super-excited for what’s to come in 2020.
